We’ve all got a muse
Down, deep, within that should rule
He who lets her loose in worship is no fool
He makes the king’s pleased smile be.
Oh, so you think it’s only on the brim
All you need to say in worship to him
Nothing to dig out, nothing to think out –
Just the obvious straws of life’s rights
But maybe you can just pause
Take a long, slow look in
Can you see you’ve got a full well within?
Where deep virtues dwell.
The great David King
Wrote tons of thoughtful psalms
Not because he was such a genius
But he pleased the Lord in his ways
He saw worship in all thing’ and no thing
And won the heart of the Almighty
Let loose the muse
The deep streams within long to gush
It’s ok to escape the box
Let down your hair
Break the alabaster
Wipe his wet feet with your hair
And fear not when your garment falls off in worship.
If only for his sake
We need to learn to be muses and lards
Thoughtful in worship
Intentional in praise
Creative in adoration
For no one deserves our muse
No girl nor lad
