Headies Awards (@the_headies) adds new category Best Inspirational Single to accommodate Christians Songs and Gospel Artistes.

 

We cannot ascertain if this decision emanated from a backlash the popular Nigerian award organisation received for always sidelining Gospel music over the years or if they have truly recognised that Gospel Music is as big, if not bigger than secular music.

In any case, the addition is a welcomed one and we congratulate ministers @chidinma_ekile, @mercy_chinwo, @dunsin_oyekan and @nathaniel_bassey as well as Kcee and @timi_dakolo on their nominations.
