“And if he brings lamb for sin offering, he shall bring it a female without blemish"
The Sunday worship service uniform for girls in a boarding school was usually a white gown free from stain or blemish. The Matron would not lower this standard for any reason. It took diligence and extra carefulness to meet her standard and escape her frowns. The phrase, "without blemish" appears 41 times in the King James Version of the Bible. In all cases, it refers to absence of defect, deformity or impurity. God's standard is very high. Whatever you want to offer to God must conform to this high standard else it will not be acceptable to Him.
In God's commandment, the animal to be offered by the Israelites for the atonement of their sins was to be without blemish before it can be accepted by God. God, similarly, offered His sinless, blemish-free Son on the cross for the forgiveness of your sin. The Sacrifice of Jesus, as a lamb without blemish, has paid for the sin of the whole world. You must therefore, accept Jesus as your Saviour by turning away from all your bad behaviour and be washed in the blood of the Lamb. Then keep yourself free from every spot or blemish of sin and be godly in your thoughts and actions. You are called to be without blemish like our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Prayer: Oh, God, please grant my desire to be clean and spotless like my Saviour
